Runners ready to battle hunger
Fort Hood’s 89th Military Police Brigade and the city of Lampasas are combining for a 10K March Against Hunger on March 6.
Registration begins at 7 a.m. at Gavin Garrett Soccer Park, and the race starts at 9 a.m.
Registration fee is $20 per person with T-shirts guaranteed to those who sign up before Feb. 10.
Children 17 and under of registered adult runners can participate at no additional charge.
Funds raised will benefit the Lampasas Senior Center, St. Mary’s Catholic Church food pantry, Salvation Army and Lampasas Mission.
Residents also can donate $100 or more to become a member of the Lampasas Caring Community Club. Special recognition will go to club members.
