March Against Hunger set by Fort Hood, city
The 89th Military Police Brigade and city of Lampasas will sponsor a 10K March Against Hunger on March 6 starting at 9 a.m. at Gavin Garrett Soccer Park.
There will be a 10K race and a 5K run/walk.
Funds raised will go to the Lampasas Senior Center, St. Mary's Catholic Church food pantry, Lampasas Mission and Salvation Army.
Early registration is through Feb. 10. Cost is $20. Children 17 and under of registered adult runners may participate at no additional charge.
A sponsorship opportunity is available. Residents can join the Lampasas Caring Community Club with a minimum $100 donation to receive two T-shirts and a race entry and organization or family name on the back of the Tshirts.
Additional T-shirts can be purchased for $10 each.
Registration may be made at the Lampasas County Chamber of Commerce, 205 S. U.S. Highway 281, or the 89th MP BDE HQ bldg. 112 on Fort Hood.
Late registration is Feb. 11- March 5. Registration also may be done on race day.
