Gas prices on the rise

Average retail gasoline prices in Texas moved just 1.3 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.58 per gallon on Tuesday.

This compares with the national average that has stayed flat, moving just .08 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.73 per gallon, according to TexasGasPrices.com, a gasoline price Web site.

Including the rise in gas prices in Texas during the past week, prices are 88.1 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago, and are 16.6 cents per gallon higher than a month ago.

The national average has increased 13.9 cents per gallon during the last month, and stands 91.2 cents per gallon higher than one year ago.
