20-year jail sentence handed down in court
A 20-year jail sentence was given recently in Judge Joe Carroll’s 27th District courtroom to Edd E. Lefevre, 53, for driving while intoxicated, third or more.
Lefevre also was ordered to pay $215 in court costs. He was credited with jail time served.
For burglary of a habitation, Roger Allen Voigt, 28, of Lampasas must serve six months in the Lampasas County Jail. He must pay restitution and was given three years’ deferred probation. Voigt was credited with four months of jail time served.
Brandon Keith Beauchamp, 23, received 10 years in jail, probated to 10 years, for intoxicated assault with a vehicle causing serious bodily injury. Beauchamp will be remanded to jail until there is an opening in a substance abuse facility. In addition, he was ordered to pay a $500 fine and take a parenting class.
Cody James Myers, 25, was given five years’ deferred adjudication probation for theft over $1,500 and under $20,000. He also must pay court costs and restitution of $2,345.85.
For possession of marijuana over four ounces and less than five pounds, 42-year-old Lampasas resident Wayne Josef Hatchell received three years’ deferred adjudication probation and a $1,000 fine. He also must attend a substance abuse program.
In a case of driving while intoxicated with a child under 15 years of age, 38-year-old Peggy Renelle Mixon of Lometa was sentenced to one year in the Lampasas County Jail, probated to two years. She also must pay a $750 fine and perform 120 hours of community service.
A warrant was issued, and bond was increased to $100,000 for Denita Lorraine Kessack, 24, of Colorado Springs, Colo., when she failed to show up for court on a charge of credit card abuse.
An early release was granted to Russell Wilson Gilmore, 60, for prescription fraud.
A punishment hearing is on the docket today for Blake Alan Tennimon, 22, of Harker Heights for engaging in organized criminal activity.
Charged with evading arrest with a vehicle, 30-year-old Audi Elizabeth Henry of Kempner is set for a revocation hearing today. She has requested her bond be lowered from $100,000 to $25,000.
A pretrial hearing is slated Feb. 5 for Ashlie Nicole Oliver. The 21-year-old Kempner resident is charged with manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance over four grams and under 200 grams.
In a case of driving while intoxicated with a child under 15 years of age, 32-year-old Luis Garcia will enter a plea Feb. 5.
Roxanne Marie Henderson, 22, of Lampasas is set to enter a plea Feb. 12 for harassment of a public servant.
A pretrial hearing is set Feb. 12 for Steven Ray Gant, 46, of Lampasas for driving while intoxicated third or more.
Ryan Allenlogan Pyles, 19, of Kempner is set for punishment Feb. 19 on a charge of manufacture/ delivery of a controlled substance.
Pleas are expected to be entered Feb. 19 by Jose Felix Ortiz, 46, for driving while intoxicated and felony repetition, and by Leslie Ann Wallace, 24, of Lampasas for assault on a public servant.
Bond was lowered to $1,000 for Joshua Shawn Davis, 24, charged with possession of a controlled substance under one gram. He is to enter a plea March 12.
Jury trials on the March 29 docket include Sara Elizabeth Dickison, 27, of Lometa for improper relationship between educator/ student, and Jared Blake Edmondson, 26, of Lometa for online solicitation of a minor sex conduct and sexual assault of a child.
An April 26 jury trial is scheduled for John Alvin Hull, 30, of Copperas Cove for manufacture/ delivery of a controlled substance over four grams and under 200 grams.
Armando Rosales, 31, of Lampasas, charged with two counts of manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance over one gram and under four grams, has jury trials scheduled for May 24 and June 28.
