Food drive

Jordan Connell (front), a fourth-grade student at Kline Whitis Elementary, organized a canned food drive for Lampasas Mission. With the help
of her teacher Cathy Brown and Principal Mitzi Stripling, Jordan worked out all the details and asked her classmates to help her reach a goal
of 1,500 cans. To motive students, Jordan offered a pizza party to the class that brought in the most cans. Jordan collected 1,432 cans that were
delivered to Lampasas Mission just before the Christmas break. Laura Ramon’s class collected 483 cans, earning the pizza party. Jordan
hopes to have another food drive before Easter for the community. Students who assisted in the drive include, from left, Tyler Garcia, Kobe
Amador, Nora Lawson, Hannah Harrison and Alyssa Sublet.
