Helping hands

Lampasas County Sheriff’s Office dispatchers Sue Kluge, left, and Amanda Tobar were recently recognized by the Texas Telecommunications Emergency Response Team the organization’s recognition of the support of 911 professionals and safety telecommunications personnel during Hurricane Ike. Both dispatchers spent several days in August 2008 at Seabrook Police Department (25 miles south of Houston) as dispatchers when the law enforcement office needed assistance. They received plaques of appreciation and duffel bags. Also pictured is LCSO Assistant Jail Administrator Bill Tower.
