2010 stock show a successful event

Paige Hensley was senior goat showmanship winner. The 73rd annual Lampasas County Youth Livestock Show ended its three-day run Saturday with the buyers’ appreciation dinner and premium sale.

The annual Ag Mechanics Show and the Food Fair also were held.

Braedon Raub’s steer took grand champion honors. He also was named junior showman in the beef cattle division.

The reserve grand champion steer title went to Ashton Holloman who also was named senior showman.

Jordan Langford earned the Buddy Perry Award, and the Marvin Vann Sportsmanship Award was presented to Kallen Vann.

Raub also won the grand championship in the beef heifer division.

Blayze Bierschwale took the reserve champion beef heifer title and the intermediate showmanship award for beef cattle.

Breighton Loeffler was awarded the grand championship in the market hog division.

Blayze Bierschwale earned the champion British breed heifer title. He also showed the reserve grand champion heifer. Kirby Kennedy was named senior swine showmanship winner.

Reserve champion honors were taken by Anthony Resa.

The intermediate showmanship award was presented to John Brooks, and junior swine showmanship honors went to Taylor Loeffler.

The Lee Vann Sportsmanship Award went to Michael Fisher.

Grand champion breeding gilt was shown by Anthony Resa, while Kirby Kennedy took the reserve champion title.

In the meat goat division, Marlee Dewald was grand champion and she took junior goat showmanship.

Ty Pauly earned the reserve grand champion meat goat title and was named the Amy Walker Senior Showmanship Award winner.

Intermediate showmanship was earned by Mikhaila Barnett in the meat goat division.

The TR Carson Award went to Morgan Tongish.

Maclinta Alaniz took the junior Food Fair grand championship best of show. In the breeding goat nanny division, Jacqueline Hensley was named grand champion and earned the Klose Sportsmanship Award.

Paige Hensley earned the reserve grand champion title with her goat as well as the senior showmanship award.

Grand champion breeding goat billy was exhibited by Monica Bridges, and Sydney Eicher showed the reserve.

Ty Pauly had the grand and reserve champion market lambs and earned senior showmanship.

Junior showmanship went to Mikhaila Barnett.

The champion hair sheep was shown by Paige Hensley, and reserve champion went to Cassidy Wienecke.

Blayze Bierschwale nabbed grand champion honors in the broiler show, and Stephen Byrd was reserve champion.

Broiler showmanship went to Jed Dunning.

Rowan Pratt exhibited the grand champion rabbit buck, while Tiffany Fagg showed the reserve champion.

Lee and Faydell Vann presented the Lee Vann Sportsmanship Award to Michael Fisher. The grand champ rabbit doe was shown by Samantha Sparger, and Hunter Webb was reserve champ.

Rabbit showmanship went to Fern Pratt.

In the Ag Mechanics Show, Curtis Crain took the grand championship with his cedar block table, and the reserve championship went to David Henry Straley for his 18-foot landscape trailer.

In the Food Fair’s senior division, Kirby Kennedy took the grand championship with her beef and potato soup, and Kylie Bradley was reserve champion with her cake.

Maclinta Alaniz was named grand champion best of show in the junior division with her bread, and Cecilia Moore took the reserve grand champion title with her pie.
