36 Club plans February fund-raising lunch, sale

GFWC/TFWC 36 Club will hold a taco salad and bake sale fund-raiser on Feb. 8 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church Wesley Fellowship Hall.

Tickets are $7 for a taco salad, drink and dessert and can be purchased from any club member or at the door.

Take-out orders will be available and can be ordered by calling 734-2546. No delivery is offered.

The 36 Club is a federated women’s club that promotes social, civic and literary activities. Local projects this year include donating food and other supplies to Lampasas Mission, donating snacks to the Boys & Girls Club and collecting aluminum cans for the Lampasas Senior Center’s recycling project.

The club also donates money to the Boys & Girls Club, Lampasas Elementary Benevolence Fund, Meals on Wheels and the Library Foundation of Lampasas.

It also sponsors a Miss Spring Ho candidate, a HOBY student and a vocational school scholarship for a Lampasas High School senior. Funds raised at the February event will benefit the club’s service projects.
