The battle rages

Christmas 2009 is history, but the battle over the historic position of Judeo-Christianity in American economics still rages. In fact, hostility toward Christianity and capitalism has ratcheted up during the past year under the Obama team. The Washington elite corps under leadership of Pelosi, Reed and the Obama czars constantly hacks away at capitalism in a seditious plan to authorize government bureaucrats to redistribute America’s wealth through socialistic schemes. Ironically, capitalism is not the real issue. Neither is socialism. Those are only points on the political and economic spectrum that house debates. The Washington elite openly disparage capitalism, but their real “enemy” is the Judeo-Christian foundation on which rests the people’s right to pursue life, liberty and happiness unfettered by government.

Redistribution of wealth is the scheme of elitists who adhere to the philosophy that individuals need to be “watched over” by a self-appointed few who ostensibly have the “gift” of ruling over the masses. Judeo- Christianity adheres to the conviction that people accountable directly to the Creator of the universe require only freedom from tyranny to administer their economic choices. Never before since our nation’s rise from Jamestown’s experiment with capitalism, Phymouth’s emphasis on Christian worship and George Washington’s valiant persistence against British tyranny has our nation been in greater peril of losing not only our economic system but our freedom to preserve our Judeo-Christian heritage. That is why Tea Parties, voter registration, political party identification, correspondence with elected officials and intercessory prayer are critical during 2010.
