LHS FOOTBALL

In addition to being named the Killeen Daily Herald’s 2009 All-Area Coach of the Year, Badgers’ head coach Joey McQueen recently received another impressive accolade.

The first-year Lampasas coach was named Class 4A and Class 5A all-area coach of the year by the Temple Daily Telegram after reconstructing an 0-20 LHS team and taking it to the playoffs for the first time since 2000 with a 4-6 record.

Tryouts for the Bat Girls U-14 Fastpitch Softball Club will be held Sunday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Turner Field.

All positions are open.

In case of inclement weather, tryouts will be rescheduled for Jan. 17 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
