Christopher and Melanie Carter of Kempner announce the birth of their daughter, Ryleigh Grace, born Nov. 19, 2009, at 5:06 a.m. at Darnall Army Community Hospital at Fort Hood.

Upon arrival, Ryleigh weighed 6 pounds, 14 ounces and was 19 inches in length.

She joins a sister, Aurora Belle.

Grandparents are Glenn and Glenda Shoemaker of Kempner, and Bruce and Lynn Vick of Bankston, Ala.

Great-grandparents are Alleen Richardson of Kempner, Alton Shoemaker of Killeen, and Mildred Lowery of Bankston.
