Blood drive nets 52 pints

The first American Red Cross blood drive of the year was held earlier this week with 52 pints of blood collected.

Wanda Meyers, local blood drive coordinator, thanked participants for braving the cold temperatures to take part in the year’s first drive.

She also expressed thanks to volunteers who assisted during the drive.

Next drive is March 1 from 12:30-6:30 p.m. at AMVETS Post 80.
