Rams fall to 1-15; Null ends rookie campaign

And just like that, it’s over.

Former Badger and current Ram Keith Null put a bow on his first NFL season by completing seven of 17 passes for 57 yards in a 28-6 loss to San Francisco in St. Louis.

Null started his fourth consecutive game after standing on the sidelines for a majority of the season, but was taken out after suffering a hard hit in the third quarter. He did not return as Kyle Boller completed the game.

Rams head coach told the Associated Press Null “was fuzzy,” adding “I don’t know if they used the term concussion.”

Null was sacked five times.

St. Louis (1-15) drew first blood when kicker Josh Brown drilled a 54-yard field goal with 4:00 remaining in the first half.

Trailing 7-3, Brown kicked a 29- yard field goal with 9:11 left in the game before the 49ers (8-8) scored three touchdowns to secure the victory.

As a starter, Null was 0-4 in his rookie season, completing 73 of 119 passes for 566 yards and three touchdowns. He was picked off nine times and sacked 13 times.
