The photo is of a red-headed woodpecker that seemed to be not enjoying our recent snow. It was taken by Sharon (Mrs. Ted) Newsom and used on her Christmas cards.

Did you know that a Lampasas County rancher is part owner of NBC? Me! Here is the way it happened.

I have a few shares of Comcast stock. The owner of Comcast, Ralph Roberts, is also owner of Cable TV. Roberts recently bought NBC for $13 billion. Big dealing like this came down to me. I was sent a check for $10.32. So now I’m part owner of NBC, plus Social Security.

Anyone want to borrow a few billion?
