Dorothy Burg is the January Artist of the Month. Dorothy Burg, a member of the Lampasas Art Club, is the January Artist of the Month.

Mrs. Burg is a seamstress and is proficient in crocheting and quilting. She makes a variety of items for the home including tablecloths, table runners, bedspreads and more.

Some of Mrs. Burg’s items are on display in the foyer of My Girls on East Third Street in front of Lampasas Art Gallery.

Living in Pelican Lake, Wisc., where the winters are seriously cold, Mrs. Burg was helping her mother make heavy woolen quilts for the family’s home use at an early age. By 5 years old, she was learning to quilt and crochet.

In 1968, Mrs. Burg and her husband, Ed, came to Fort Hood. They reside in East Lampasas County.
