Funeral services for Otha L. Hood, 94, of Lampasas are Jan. 2, 2010, at Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas. Burial will be at Gillum Cemetery near Oakalla.

Mrs. Hood died Dec. 29 at Regal Nursing & Rehab.

She was born Dec. 23, 1915, in Lampasas County, the daughter of Tom B. and Etha B. Kincaid Langford.

She married her first husband, Wilford H. Dixon, and he preceded her in death in 1945.

She later married Jim Hood, and he preceded her in death in 1988.

Mrs. Hood was a member of Oakalla Baptist Church where she played the piano. She also had been a member of First Baptist Church and Second Baptist Church, both in Lampasas.

Survivors include a son, David Dixon of Pampa; a daughter, Sharon Crane of California; a stepson, Bernard Hood of Amarillo; a stepdaughter, Margie Seasholtz of Arkansas; five grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by a son, Dorsey Dixon; a sister, Oleta Bouchelle; a stepson, Lauren Hood; and a stepdaughter, Loma

Dittmar.
