The family of Jeanie Gilbert invites the public to a reception to honor Mrs. Gilbert at her retirement after 32 years with the U.S. Postal Service.

The event is Friday from 3:30- 5:30 p.m. at The Holiday House in Lampasas.

Mrs. Gilbert, most recently postmaster at Hillsboro, has held similar positions at Lometa, Kempner, Cherokee and Hamilton.

She was a clerk at the Lampasas Post Office for a number of years before being promoted to postmaster.
