Mrs. Hampton

Cora Charlene Hampton, 74, of Lampasas died Dec. 23, 2009, at her residence after a battle with cancer.

Graveside services were Dec. 26 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas.

Mrs. Hampton was born Sept. 30, 1935, in Stanton, the daughter of Charles Willard and Gladys May Arnold Hardin.

She was married to Roy K. Hampton and he preceded her in death in 2000.

Mrs. Hampton worked for the California Board of Compensation for 37 years and retired and moved to Texas.

She was the office manager for Bent Tree Construction for the last 10 years. She was a Seventh-Day Adventist.

Mrs. Hampton enjoyed traveling, sewing and making all types of

Survivors include a sister, Gene Bouthillier and husband, Charles, of Sparks, Nev.; a brother and his wife, Jerry and Rosalie Hardin of Martinez, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Beverly Iverson of Tyler; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and numerous cousins.
