Lowell Preston Garza, 20, of Kempner faces an April 26 jury trial in Judge Joe Carroll’s 27th District courtroom for capital murder, individual under age 6, and injury to a child-serious bodily injury.
Charges stem from the Aug. 17 death of his two-month-old daughter, Isabela Preslei Garza.
The death was ruled a homicide by blunt-force trauma by a Dallas medical examiner.
Garza remains in the Lampasas County Jail on a $1 million bond. He faces an automatic life sentence without the possibility of parole if convicted.
In other court action, Jonathan Ezekiel Holley, 20, received six years’ deferred adjudication probation for burglary of a habitation. He also must pay a $500 fine and $230 in restitution.
A Jan. 8 pretrial is slated for Benny Ray Weaver, 60, on a charge of theft over $1,500 and under $20,000.
Henry Torrez Sanchez, 58, of Lampasas faces a Jan. 8 arraignment on a charge of driving while intoxicated, third or more.
For evading arrest with a vehicle, Audi Elizabeth Henry, 30, of Kempner faces a revocation hearing Jan. 15.
Sean Matthew Reed, 18, of Lampasas is set to enter a plea Jan. 22 for delivery of marijuana over one-fourth ounce and under five pounds.
For driving while intoxicatedfelony repetition-deadly weapon, 40-year-old James Williard Williams of Pflugerville is set for a Jan. 22 pretrial hearing.
Charged with credit card abuse, Denita Lorraine Kessack, 24, faces a Jan. 25 jury trial.
A Feb. 22 jury trial is on the docket for James Worth Nesom, 52, of Buchanan Dam. He is charged with theft over $20,000 and under $100,000.
March 29 jury trials are set for William Joshua Warren, 32, of Lampasas for theft of service over $1,500 and under $20,000; Daniel Scott Somers, 18, of Lampasas for evading arrest/detention with a vehicle; Wayne Joseph Persick, 57, of Killeen for driving while intoxicated, third or more; Jared Blake Edmondson, 26, of Lometa for online solicitation of a minor- sex conduct and sexual assault of a child; and Austin Cullen Smith, 19, of Lampasas for possession of marijuana over four ounces and under five pounds.
The state dismissed a charge of engaging in organized criminal activity against Harker Heights resident Jamie Lee Flint, 28.
The state is set to dismiss a motion to revoke against Rachel Ann Byrd, 34, of Copperas Cove on a charge of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
