Volunteer recognized

T.P. Wingo, Lampasas County Republican Party Precinct 8 chairman and election judge, was honored as Volunteer of the Year by Senate District 24 during an awards ceremony in Austin. “T.P. is the kind of volunteer every county chair dreams of having,” said Skipper Wallace, Lampasas County Republican chairman. “Whether we block walk, work phone banks, drive vehicles in parades, work booths, work the golf tournament or travel to other counties to help conservative candidates, T.P. is the first to arrive and the last to leave. No job is too small or too large for him.” Wingo earned the honor for Senate District 24 which encompasses 21 counties including Lampasas, Burnet, Llano, San Saba and Mason. Gov. Rick Perry presented the award to Wingo during the ceremony earlier this month.
