New LMS organization completes service project

2009-12-25 / Lifestyles

Students gathering cans for delivery include Sydney Seaver, eighth grade, and seventh-graders Tyler Connell and Shrader Davis. Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Fellowship of Christian Students, a new organization for Lampasas Middle School students, held a schoolwide canned food drive for its first community service project. It spanned a three-week period earlier this month.

The first week, cans of beans were collected, while in the second and third weeks, canned fruits and soaps and detergents, respectively, were gathered. Items were delivered to Lampasas Mission recently.

In addition, Amanda Nuckles provided toothbrushes and toothpaste through her employer, Hill Country Pediatric Dentistry.

FCA, FCS meets each Friday at 7:29 a.m. at room 104 (Vickie McQueen’s classroom). All students are invited to attend meetings.

Other sponsors are Carol Brown, Haley Wheeler, Laura Liverman, Cammy Burns, Margaret Lovett, Shannon Lindsey and Rebekah Carroll.
