These students were honored for making the All-Area Band. Sixty-eight members of the Lampasas High School band participated in the Texas Music Educator’s Association Region 8 region band auditions at Midway High School.

Competing with students from Class 4A and 5A schools in Copperas Cove, Killeen, Temple, Waco, Bryan and College Station, Lampasas students earned 18 chairs in the All-Region Band, two positions in the All-Region Orchestra, and 13 students scored high enough to move on to the area round in January.

Members of the All-Region band include Lisa Orner and Shelby Davis, flute; Holly Chapman, Chris Longoria and Rebecca Garza, clarinet; Alexzandria Ryan, bass clari- net; Elizabeth Smith, contra bass clarinet; Javier Renteria, also saxophone; Johnathen Standifer, Olaf Meyer and Lora Patterson, French horn; Ethan Moses and Morgan Knowles, trumpet; Jonah Cantu and Chris Thomas, trombone; Carl Fuller, euphonium; and Juan Munoz and Jacob Fuller, tuba.

Members of the All-Region Band were selected. All-Region Orchestra members include Chris Thomas and Johnathen Standifer.
