Wilhelmina Whitaker, 75, of Lampasas died Dec. 16, 2009, at Rollins Brook Community Hospital.

Funeral services were Dec. 19 at Sneed Funeral Chapel with Chaplain Jaime Guajardo officiating. Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Whitaker was born Aug. 26, 1934, in Dillon, S.C., to Sankey A. and Emma Altman Stephens.

She retired from AT&T, where she had worked for 25 years in Yuma, Ariz.

Survivors include a son and his wife, William and Raquel Whitaker of Lampasas; a sister, Buena Rae Jones of Newton, Ala.; five grandchildren, William Jr., Heather, Natalie, David and Bonnie; and three great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Elijah and Kaiyah.
