Judge honored
Lampasas County Judge Wayne Boultinghouse was honored by the Texas Judicial Academy for his extra preparation in handling his duties as a county judge. Boultinghouse was inducted as a Fellow in the Texas Judicial Academy on Nov. 18 at Corpus Christi during the 2009 Fall Judicial Education Session. The award was given by Freestone County Judge Linda Grant. The academy, a partnership between the Texas Tech University School of Law and the Texas Association of Counties, names judges as Fellows who attain significant judicial education above state requirements. The educational program of the Texas Judicial Academy is overseen by the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals and includes instruction by higher court judges, law school faculty and representatives of the Texas Probate College and National Judicial College.
