Garden club demo given

At a recent meeting of the Browning Community Garden Club, Doris Magnor, a master flower show judge emeritus, gave a demonstration on the use of driftwood and weathered wood in creative design.

The business meeting opened with the Gardener’s Prayer read in unison, and Earl and Joyce Lhamon were welcomed as guests.

A brief theme study on the oleander was provided by Connie Madison. Proceeds from the bake sale, held at the home of Koneta Saum, will go toward the club’s service projects. A contribution was made to the scholarship fund.

The club also held a meeting Wednesday at the home of Sharron Van Weelden, president. A Christmas tea was held.
