Joe Maldonado (Rock ‘n Roll Joe), 71, of Lampasas died Dec. 11, 2009, at his son’s residence.

Funeral services are Dec. 16 at 1 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel with Preston Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Visitation is Dec. 15 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral chapel.

Mr. Maldonado was a lifelong resident of Lampasas where he owned a lawn care service. He was a renowned musician.

Survivors include his wife, Faye Smith of Lampasas; three daughters, Wendy Uhler and Melissa Karcher, both of Lampasas, and Janie Maldonado of Houston; one son, Joseph Maldonado of Lampasas; one sister, Tomas Quintanilla of Fresno, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and three greatgrandchildren.
