The squad went 2-1 at the tournament, defeating Mt. Valley by 23 points, 48-25, and Llano by 21 points, 49-28.

Lampasas’ lone defeat of the season came to the host team as Burnet won on its home floor 38- 30.

The Lampasas roster consists of Brady Robinson, Collin Bowen, Blake Graham, Blake January, Trent Holloman, Nicholas Lawson, Scott Lewis, Kyle Maxcy and Kelton Estes.

The Blue team does not play again until Jan. 7 when it travels to Austin for a game against Lake Travis.

Lampasas’ seventh-grade White team suffered a disappointing loss at Hill Country Tuesday evening, falling by 44 points, 59-15.

Dallas Kidd connected on a 3- pointer en route to a team-high five points. Luke Argo chipped in four points, while Mason Morris, Tristan Schroeder and Lance Moore added two points apiece.

The bright spot came at the charity stripe, according to head coach Chris Munoz.

“We shot a little better at the freethrow line compared to last game,” the coach said.

The Badgers (1-3) are hosting the Lampasas “B” team tournament this weekend.

After placing third at the Five Hills Tournament in Copperas Cove last weekend, the LMS Lady Badgers’ seventh-grade Blue team continued its solid play against Hill Country.

Lampasas earned a slim 29-26 win behind Alyssa Dickens’ teamhigh 11 points. Lauren Beckwith followed with eight points, while Stacie Olivarez and Crosby Liverman each added four. Blake Webb finished with two points.

The team does not play again until it hosts Lake Travis in early January.

The Lady Badgers seventh- and eighth-grade White and Gray teams will be in action this weekend as LMS hosts “B” and “C” team tournaments.

The LMS Gray teams will play the school’s last games of 2009 when they travel to Burnet Monday.
