For the second time this season, Burnet had the Badgers’ number.

After beating Lampasas on its home court prior to the Thanksgiving holiday, the Bulldogs completed the sweep Tuesday evening with a 55-46 win in Burnet.

The Badgers trailed by five points, 16-11, at the end of the first quarter before the home team increased its cushion to seven points, 29-22, by halftime.

Following the break, Burnet came out strong, scoring 16 points while holding Lampasas to its worst output in any quarter (9 pts.).

The Badgers (2-7) posted 15 points in the final quarter, outscoring Burnet by five, but it was too little too late.

Sophomore Brandon Scott was the Badgers’ top scorer with 10 points. Guard Astin Murray added nine.

Lampasas heads south to the Poteet Aggies Round Ball Round- Up Tournament today. The Badgers open play against Navarro at 11 a.m. Win or lose, Lampasas plays either host squad Poteet or Lytle at 3:30 p.m.
