Local youths Zane Green, left, and Wesley Bradley spent many early-morning hours training over the summer training to compete with the Hill Country Aquatic Team. After starting the season on the beginner’s Silver team, the boys took just two weeks to advance to the Gold team. Under the guidance of coach Nancy Moore, the teammates had a solid first-year performance as each recorded competitive times in the 100-yard freestyle, 50-yard backstroke, 100- yard medley relay and the 100-yard freestyle relay.
