Kempner resident Harry Joseph Scott, 73, died Dec. 5, 2009, at Rollins Brook Community Hospital in Lampasas.

Funeral services are Dec. 10 at 11 a.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas with an Air Force chaplain officiating with full military honors.

The body will be cremated following the service.

Visitation is Dec. 9 from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Scott was born Nov. 27, 1936, in Isaben, W.Va., the son of Henry and Pauline Lester Scott.

He joined the U.S. Air Force and retired as a master sergeant after 26 years of service.

Mr. Scott married Erlinda Morales on Feb. 28, 1967, in the Philippines.

He was a Methodist and had lived in Lampasas County since 1973.

Mr. Scott was a member of the NRA, Disabled American Veterans and the VFW.

Survivors include his wife of Kempner; a daughter, Erica Scott of Austin; a sister, Gale Williams of Washington; and several nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda, in 1990.

Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
