A memorial service for Robert Perry “Bob” Jenkins, 79, of Fort Worth was Nov. 23, 2009, at St. Christopher Episcopal Church in Fort Worth.

Mr. Jenkins died Nov. 15.

He was born Nov. 18, 1929, in DeLeon, the son of Ross and Neva Kelly Jenkins.

Mr. Jenkins attended Lampasas High School. He served four years in the Air Force during the Korean War.

Following his tour of duty, Mr. Jenkins worked for TU Electric Co. He retired in 1984.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Joanne “Jan” Slocum Jenkins; sons, Charles Jenkins and wife, Kathleen, Robert P. “Bubba” Jenkins Jr. and Chris “Kit” Daniel and wife, Teresa; a daughter, Jody Daniel Miller and husband, Kirk; grandchildren, Kelly and Charlotte Jenkins, Jeremy Jenkins, Paige and Melanie Daniel, Beth Daniel Ayer, Neil and Eric Daniel and Morgan Miller; and a brother, Willard “Bill” Jenkins.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Charlotte Tippins Jenkins; by a sister, Carlyne Jenkins Vickery; a son, Tim Daniel; and a grandson, Shane Jenkins.
