Lampasas Public Library will be the site of a book-signing event featuring former District 54 State Rep. Suzanna Hupp, author of "From Luby's to the Legislature."

Mrs. Hupp will appear at the library on Dec. 10 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

At 5:30 p.m., she will share some of her memories she included in the book. Following that, Mrs. Hupp will autograph copies of her book.

Mrs. Hupp, who served in the Texas Legislature for several terms before giving up her seat, survived the Killeen Luby's massacre in 1991, in which both of her parents were shot and killed. She has been an advocate for gun rights.

The public is invited to the library event, and refreshments will be served.
