Jack Ray Allen, 73, of Austin died Nov. 26, 2009, at Hearthstone Nursing Home in Round Rock.

Funeral services were Nov. 29 at Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas with Luis Ham officiating. Burial followed at Oak Grove Cemetery near Walnut Springs.

Mr. Allen was born Feb. 27, 1936, in Morgan, to Jack and Frances Muzick Allen.

He graduated from Meridian High School and attended East Texas State College where he earned a bachelor of science degree.

Mr. Allen was a coach for many years. He also owned two Coach’s restaurants.

Survivors include four daughters, Fralen Allen, Jackie Torres and Mary Elizabeth Stratton and husband, Scott, all of Pflugerville, and Jamie Moseley and husband, Stephen, of Lampasas; grandchildren, Jimmy Torres and wife, Lindsey, of Temple, Jerry Callahan and wife, Hilary, of Dallas, Caleb Stratton of Pflugerville, Amanda Moseley of Brownwood, Hope Moseley and Faith Elizabeth “Libby” Moseley of Lampasas; and great-grandchildren, Brayton McKynlee Torres and Oakley Rock Torres, both of Temple.

Others include two sisters, Judy Dolezel and husband, Johnnie, and Betty Campbell and husband, Larry; four brothers and their wives, Edwin and Shirley Allen, Joe and Linda Allen, John and Kathy Allen and Bill and Carolyn Allen; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Rockie Shawn Allen and James Raymond Allen.
