The annual holiday dinner party for Democrats will be Dec. 10 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Hidden Falls Restaurant in Meadowlands. The event is for Democrats from Llano and Burnet counties and members of Highland Lakes Democratic Women.

Officers for HLDW will be installed by Nettie Ruth Bratton, an active member of the group, chapter president and president of Texas State Democratic Women.

Cost is $15 per person. Reservations are necessary and can be made by calling Betty Blackmond at (325) 247-4709, Dee Quinn at (830) 596-0363, Marjorie Dearmont at (512) 355-3886 or Dian Bowers at (830) 598-5447 by Tuesday.

Unwrapped toys or books for children and non-perishable foods for local food banks will be accepted.

A silent auction will be held. Donations will go into the club’s scholarship fund for presentation at three area high schools.
