Graveside services for Mildred Evelyn Carpenter, 91 of Lometa were Nov. 25, 2009, at Lometa City Cemetery.
Ms. Carpenter died Nov. 22 at Regal Nursing & Rehab in Lampasas.
She was born Sept. 7, 1918, in Lometa, the daughter of George Thomas and Ella Elizabeth Daugherty Carpenter.
Ms. Carpenter was in retail sales for many years for J.C. Penney and Culver Hardware. She was a member of Lometa Methodist Church.
Survivors include a sister, Loraine “Doodle” Green of Lampasas; a niece, Jeanette Carothers of Goldthwaite; two nephews, Royce Belt and George Thomas Carpenter III; and a greatnephew, Joshua Carpenter.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Eula Mae McKinney and Edna Mae Belt; three brothers, G.T. “Buster” Carpenter, Marshall Robert Carpenter and Clyde Bill Carpenter; by a nephew, James Belt; and a great-niece, Cerrelle Belt.
Memorials may be made to Lometa United Methodist Church.
