Vikings conquer Lampasas
PHOTO BY RICHARD AKRIDGE Badgers’ senior guard Astin Murray heads to the hoop during Lampasas’ 57-41 loss to the Lanier Vikings Friday night. Murray was the team’s top scorer, tallying 11 points, but it was not enough as Lanier built a 10-point advantage by halftime and never looked back. Despite the loss, Badgers head coach Scott Harrelson was pleased with his team’s effort in the home-opener. “We were much better than we were in the first game,” the coach said of his 0-2 team. “I never questioned our enthuasism or our intensity. I am pleased overall, as much as you can be pleased with a loss.”
