The Dorcas Class of First Baptist Church enjoyed a Thanksgiving luncheon on Nov. 17 at the home of Louise Barefoot.

Jack Johnson, class musician, offered the blessing and thanks for the food. He also provided harmonica music.

Fellowship followed with 22 class members and guests in attendance, including Mrs. Barefoot, Juverna Bogard, Evelyn Bridges, Janice Butler, Dorothy Garrett, Arleta Green, Myra Haraldson, Novadell Harwell, Dorothy Hayner, Bobbie Hudson, Betty Lee, Orean Porter, Marguerite Ramsey, Trudy Tyler, Elva Walker and Ethel Mae Yazell.

Guests were Helen Barnett, Katrinna Hayner, Jack and Sandra Johnson, Ruthie Martin (outreach leader) and Lanelle Owens, who shared an unusual “goat story” to justify her arm being in a sling.
