Mrs. Forehand
Mary Lou Forehand, 94, of Lampasas died Nov. 15, 2009, at Rollins Brook Community Hospital in Lampasas.
Funeral services were Nov. 17 at First Street Church of Christ with Minister Lon Jones officiating, assisted by Rick Machen and Rocky Moncus. Burial followed at Senterfitt Cemetery in Lometa.
Mrs. Forehand was born Jan. 29, 1915, in Lometa, the daughter of E.L. and Mary May Smith Whitehead.
She attended Lometa schools. On July 1, 1933, she married Floyd L. Forehand in Lometa.
Mrs. Forehand was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Lampasas County. She was a member of First Street Church of Christ in Lampasas.
Survivors include a son and his wife, Floyd Dale and Marguerite Forehand of Lampasas; a daughter and her husband, Bobbye and Alfred Machen of Brady; a sister, Adele Davis of Georgetown; six grandchildren, Rick Machen and wife, Debra, of Uvalde, Suzanne Coffman and husband, Lee, of Brady, Vicki Roberts of Paradise, Mike Forehand of Lampasas, Gary Forehand and wife, Jeannie, of Abilene, and Sandy Roe and husband, Tim, of Cibolo; 14 greatgrandchildren; and one great-greatgranddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, four brothers, two sisters and a great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to the Forehand-Lancaster Fund at First Street Church of Christ.
