Benefit set for animal shelter
A benefit concert to help raise money and supplies for Killeen Second Chance Animal Shelter will be Saturday from 1-8 p.m. at Carl Levin Park in Harker Heights. The shelter was heavily damaged in a recent fire, and a number of animals perished.
Second Chance is accepting money and merchandise donations.
The concert will showcase a number of musical styles, including blues, country, pop and rock, and will feature a variety of acts such as John Reynolds, Sid Blevins, Britt Warner, Jesse Howeth, Sometimes Salvation, Andrew Delaney and D. Anson Brody.
Several vendors will offer food, games and boutique merchandise.
