McGuire named to Princeton Debate Panel
Trevor McGuire Trevor McGuire, a 2009 Lampasas High School graduate, has made the prestigious Princeton University Debate Panel.
The panel, as a member of the American Parliamentary Debate Association, participates in weekly intercollegiate parliamentary debate tournaments across the country.
Princeton sends debaters to tournaments from Boston to California as well as Canada, Ireland, South Africa, Greece, the Philippines and Australia.
The Princeton Debate Panel is the most successful debate organization in the nation and is consistently home to the top-ranked debaters.
Princeton has qualified more teams in the past few years for the national championship than any other school, and in 2009, the Princeton panel took home the Team of the Year award.
Before college, McGuire spent four years on the Lampasas crossexamination debate team under the leadership of Janet Melton.
He was either a state competitor or alternate each of his four years of high school.
