Nolan James “Jack” Hamel, 85, died Nov. 13, 2009, a Sagebrook Health Center in Cedar Park.

A celebration of life was held Nov. 15 at Beck Funeral Home in Cedar Park.

Mr. Hamel was born Dec. 12, 1923.

He is survived by a son, Eddy Lee Hamel and wife, Trisha, of Cedar Park; a daughter, Barby Fuller and husband, Ray, of Lampasas; a sister, Nora Lee Siegman of Illinois; grandchildren, Tracey Rice of Cedar Park, Chris Fuller of Austin, Shari Langerhans of Leander, Casey Johnson and Stefani Pady, both of Humble, and Scott Hall and Julie Hall, both of Round Rock; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ludella Lea “Butch” Hamel of Houston in 1987, and by a daughter, Patti Sue Hogue of Lampasas.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Keystone Square Museum or to the charity of one’s choice.
