Copperas Cove resident Gene Minshew, 54, died Nov. 13, 2009, in Nolanville.

Funeral services are Nov. 17 at 10 a.m. at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Copperas Cove.

Mr. Minshew was born Sept. 17, 1955, in Gatesville, the son of Royal Gene and Alma Stuteville Minshew.

He worked in the construction industry for many years in the local area. He enjoyed feeding his cattle and chickens and being outdoors.

Survivors include two sons, Johnas Minshew and wife, Stefani, of Kemp, and Wayland Minshew of Gatesville; his parents of Gatesville; two brothers and their wives, Mark and Penny Minshew and Stephen and Renee Minshew, all of Kempner; one sister, Bridget Weisler of Pennsylvania; and two grandchildren, Shalyn and Colby Gene Minshew.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
