A Dec. 4 pretrial hearing is scheduled in 27th District Court for Lowell Preston Garza, 20, of Kempner for capital murder/individual under age 6.
Garza is charged with the Aug. 17 death of his two-month-old daughter, Isabela Preslei Garza.
The death was ruled a homicide by blunt-force trauma by a Dallas medical examiner.
Bond is set at $1 million for Garza, and he remains in the Lampasas County Jail.
Garza faces an automatic life sentence without the possibility of parole if convicted.
In other recent court action, Mark Anthony Lujan, 32, of Odessa was given four years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Institutional Division for aggravated assault/ threat with a deadly weapon.
Probation was revoked, and a three-year TDC sentence was given to David Michael Hayes, 59, for driving while intoxicated and felony repetition.
Also receiving three years in jail was Patricia Michelle Maynard, 35, of Marble Falls for bail jumping and failure to appear. She was credited with jail time served.
On a charge of possession of a chemical with intent to manufacture, Ms. Maynard received 10 years’ deferred adjudication probation and a $1,000 fine. She also must attend a Substance Abuse Felony Program.
Christopher Manuel Durham, 27, of Killeen also had his probation revoked. He received a two-year jail sentence for burglary of a habitation.
Bobbie Kay Green, 44, of Hamilton must serve 91 days in state jail for theft over $1,500 and under $20,000. She also was given five years’ deferred adjudication probation.
On a charge of burglary of a building, Lampasas resident Justin Allen Clark, 23, received five years’ probation and a term in an Intermediate Sanction Facility before being transferred to a Substance Abuse Felony Program. He also was fined $500.
Lesia Sue Luttrell-Cain, 40, of Lampasas is set for Jan. 8 sentencing for delivery of a controlled substance in a drug-free zone.
Omar Ramos, 50, of San Saba had his probation amended, and he must attend a Substance Abuse Felony Program. He is charged with possession of a controlled substance.
An adjudication announcement is set today for 18-year-old Kody Kidd Burden on a charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Monday jury trials are slated for Edd E. Lefevre, 52, for driving while intoxicated third or more, and Terry Jay Holder, 45, of Burnet for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
For criminal mischief with a deadly weapon, Curtis Byron Crumley III, 23, of Lampasas faces a Nov. 20 adjudication hearing.
John Carlton Brizedine, 46, of Florence had his indictment for possession/transport of a chemical with intent to manufacture a controlled substance amended to a misdemeanor. He received a $1,000 fine and must pay court costs.
A punishment hearing is slated Nov. 20 for Adan Salinas, 38, of Lampasas. He is charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
Pretrial hearings are on the Nov. 20 docket for Luis Garcia, 32, of Cedar Park for driving while intoxicated with a child under 15 years of age; Allana Mejias, 49, of Kempner for theft over $1,500 and under $20,000; and Joshua Shawn Davis, 24, for possession of a controlled substance under one gram.
Dec. 4 pretrial hearings are set for Daniel Scott Somers, 18, of Lampasas on a charge of evading arrest/detention with a vehicle, and Sean Matthew Reed, 18, of Lampasas for delivery of marijuana over one-fourth ounce and under five pounds.
Arraignment is on tap Dec. 4 for 24-year-old Denita Lorraine Kessack for credit card abuse.
Monica Marie Marez, 37, of Houston faces a Dec. 11 punishment hearing for possession of a controlled substance under one gram.
A Dec. 18 pretrial hearing is set for Jared Blake Edmondson, 26, of Lometa. He is charged with online solicitation of a minor/sexual conduct and sexual assault of a child.
Pleas are expected to be entered Dec. 18 by Austin Cullen Smith, 19, of Lampasas for possession of marijuana over four ounces and under five pounds, and Coy Dustin Dowdle, 39, of Briggs for driving while intoxicated and felony repetition.
On a charge of driving while intoxicated third or more, Diane Marie Felan, 46, of Lampasas is to enter a plea Jan. 8.
For harassment of a public servant, Roxanne Marie Henderson, 22, of Lampasas had her charge reduced to a misdemeanor. She is set to enter a plea Jan. 15.
Jan. 25 jury trials are scheduled for Jose Felix Ortiz, 46, for driving while intoxicated and felony repetition; Leslie Ann Wallace, 24, of Lampasas for assault on a public servant; and David Michael Hayes, 59, for indecency with a child, sexual contact and aggravated sexual assault.
