During the September 2009 meeting, the Texas Department of Transportation Commission adopted draft strategic direction statements for the agency to provide performance results that the public can use to measure the organization.

TxDOT is engaged in education and outreach through the district and divisions to collect input from across the state. The Brownwood district’s public open house is Thursday from 2-7 p.m. to gain information on issues concerning the future of transportation in the state.

The open house will be a freeflow process where participants will be guided through resource material interactively that will outline the direction in which TxDOT is moving. The process will take less than 30 minutes.
