Graveside services for Dennis W. Smith, 80, of Ellsworth, Maine, were Nov. 4, 2009, at Tobey Cemetery in Burnet County.

Mr. Smith died Oct. 28 at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital.

He was born Nov. 14, 1928, in Houston, the son of C.D. and Ola Reavis Smith.

Mr. Smith was a structural engineer and had worked on a number of very large projects during his career.

Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Cindy and Allen Richardson of Houston; a son, Keith Smith of Maine; and two sisters, Larue Payne and Oveta Lucy.

He was preceded in death by his

wife.
