Jarrett Schaub and the Vagabonds -- all from Lampasas -- have been invited to play at a Levon Helm tribute during the Queens International Film Festival at the Frank Sinatra School of the Arts Tony Bennett Concert Hall in Astoria, N.Y., on Nov. 15.

Schaub is listed on the playbill as a featured artist along with Waylon Payne, Guy Forsyth, Carolyn Wonderland and blues great Hubert Sumlin.

A special guest appearance is scheduled by Grammy Award winner Kris Kristofferson.

Schaub of Lampasas performs lead vocals and plays guitar in his Southern roots rock band.

He is backed by Jody Mullins on harmonica and vocals, Jacob Rivera on bass, Jason Rivera on drums, and Cord Jackson, vocals and guitar.

Schaub is at work on his debut album, produced by Austin's Vallejo Brothers. A CD-single from the new album features select tracks "Together Again" and "Gypsy Soul," scheduled to be released next month.
