Carolyn Brown works to remove persimmons from a tree heavy with the fruit at Boone's RV Park on U.S. Highway 281 South. Mrs. Brown said the tree was planted by her father in the early 1960s and continues to bear fruit each year. It also will have blooming white flowers in early spring.
