Halloween weekend activities
Several events are planned in Lampasas for youngsters and adults during Halloween weekend.
The third annual haunted house and trunk or treat will be tonight at the former Lampasas Wal-Mart building at Santa Fe Square.
A costume contest kicks off events at 5:30 p.m., and a haunted house will be open from 6-9 p.m.
Tickets are 50 cents each. The haunted house is four tickets, and a bouncy house is one ticket.
All proceeds benefit Lampasas Mission.

Vision Lampasas! salute to Halloween, "Squared Silly: Family Fun in Lampasas" is Saturday from 5-8 p.m. at the courthouse square.
There will be music, bounce houses, candy, a prize walk, costume contests, games, hayrides and food vendors.
Participating merchants on the square will remain open late in the evening to pass out candy or other treats. There will be church booths with games and activities, face-painting, clowning and a cupcake walk.
There is no charge for events, but tickets are required for crowd control at some activities.

Anyone with a ghost story or local history about Lampasas is invited to Keystone Square Museum today at 2 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to visit with Dealey Campbell, a Dallas educator, who will have video cameras and digital recorders to record the history.
* * * Christ the Rock Church will hold its Fall Fun Festival Saturday from 6-8 p.m. at the church on U.S. Highway 190 East.
All activities (except concessions) will be free. Events include face painting, games, pumpkin decorating, candy, prizes and a cake walk.
Proceeds benefit the youth department.

As a reminder to the public, Oak Hill Cemetery will close at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
