Lampasas resident Mary Jane Bowman, 91, died Oct. 27, 2009, at Rollins Brook Community Hospital.

Funeral services are Oct. 30 at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. George Lumpkin officiating. Burial will follow at Gentry's Mill Cemetery in Hamilton County.

Mrs. Bowman was born April 30, 1918, the daughter of Lemuel and Nona Spear Youngblood.

She was married to Sam Bowman, and he preceded her in death.

Mrs. Bowman was a retired bookkeeper, working for cattle auctions in the Central Texas area. She retired at the end of 2006.

She had lived in the Lampasas area since 1959. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, the 36 Club, Order of the Eastern Star and United Methodist Women.

Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Nona Jane and Todd Briggs of Lampasas; two grandchildren, Kim Munn, and Barbara Jeffrey and husband, Ray; three great-grandchildren, Michael, Evan and Meredith Munn; a niece; and a nephew.
