Flames plan two fund-raisers
LHS Flames Lydia Olivarez, Rae Jackson and Andrea Salazar look over plans for the Nov. 7 Little Sparks Clinic. Lampasas High School Flames Dance and Drill teams will hold a Little Sparks Clinic and fund-raising baked potato dinner in the near future, according to Kelly Payne, director.
Funds are being raised for contest season which begins in February.
Little Sparks Clinic will be Nov. 7 from 9 a.m. to noon at the LHS cafeteria. Participants will learn dance techniques and a dance routine to be presented at the dinner.
They will receive a T-shirt and a makeover courtesy of their favorite Flame. Cost is $20 per child with a discount for additional family attending. Reservations may be made by calling 564-2310 or at the door.
The baked potato dinner will be Nov. 13 from 6-8 p.m. at the LHS cafeteria. Tickets are $6 for a loaded baked potato, salad and drink. It also includes a raffle ticket for game night where participants will play a version of the television show "Deal or No Deal."
Eight-person tables are available for $100 which includes dinner for eight and 25 raffle tickets. Tickets are available from any Flames member or at the door.
